J. Cole’s HBO documentary “J. Cole: 4Your Eyez Only” will premiere on April 15.

Dreamville front man J. Cole is releasing a second HBO documentary. J. Cole: 4 Your Eyez Only, A Dreamville Film, will feature the “False Prophets” rapper’s music while depicting a slice of Black America.

“So many of us are hurting and we’re confused and we’re angry,” says one of the interview subjects in the trailer

EW reports the documentary shows people’s struggles over viable housing, voting laws for felons and integration. It purports to mirror the frustrations felt across the nation. It’s directed by J. Cole and Scott Lazer, who also directed the 2016 doc based on the Forest Hills Drive tour.

Footage includes accounts from residents in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as well as Cole’s own Fayetteville, North Carolina. The one-hour documentary will premiere on April 15 at 10 p.m. EST.

J. Cole just added a new artist to his Dreamville roster, Atlanta’s J.I.D., who’s made a name for himself with his 2015 EP Dicaprio. J.I.D. is also known for the work he’s done with his four man crew Spillage Village.

To announce the new deal, J.I.D. released a video in which he talks about his come up and shows the old, beat up car he still drives.

Afterwards, you see Cole driving the whip, while he plays a song from his new signee.

J.I.D. joins Bas, Cozz, Omen and Ari on Dreamville. It’ll be interesting to see where his career goes from here.
