Recently Hooks, Texas native by way of Dallas 2 Piece Malone discovered that his single #BARZ has eclipsed the one million stream plateau on streaming giant Spotify. BARZ has hands down become his most viable single to date, something that even surprised Malone himself.
“It’s a song that came about on one of those nights when I took some Xanex bars and was listening to some beats and that’s what popped into my head,” he said. “It’s one of the standout songs on the EP I released (“2Piece Malone – NLFS,” available on iTunes). It’s a comical song but it also has a double meaning. It’s lyrical and funny and psychedelic and trippy all at the same time.”
2 Piece Malone recently took to Instagram to announce that the visuals for the #BARZ single will be arriving within the coming weeks. Judging from the image he posted that can be seen below, it seems as though the video may be shot in POV form. Could this be the Hip Hop version of “Hardcore Henry”, you will have to stay tuned to find out.
